Laboratory Engineers (Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Level)::The Centre of Excellence (CoE) on ‘Water Resources and Flood Management’ funded under TEQIP-II by World Bank, is under execution in Department of Civil Engineering, SVNIT Surat w.e.f. July 2013. The CoE aims to be one of the global centre of excellence in solving the problems in the field of water resources and flood management by knowledge and technology transfer within the country and abroad. The CoE has a functional Computational Hydraulics Laboratory with 35 high end computers installed with licensed softwares related to river engineering, storm water network design, flood modelling, computational hydraulics, image processing, etc. The CoE also state-of-the-art experimental facilities with multi-purpose tilting flume for sediment transport and open channel hydraulics studies with latest equipment for measurement of velocity in three dimensions and bed surface profiles. Apart from this, the CoE also has a library with around 80 books on specialized topics by eminent authors in the field of water resources & flood management.

Who can apply?
Candidate with B Tech in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water Resources Engineering,
Water Resources Management, Agricultural Engineering etc., can apply.
Total post of Laboratory Engineers are maximum 8 Nos.
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- per month (as per JRF Level)
